1. General

WIAL UK Limited is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company registration number GB10562559 and VAT registration number GB259870847. Its registered office and principal trading and registered address is at Ground Floor, 4, Tesla Court, Innovation Way, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, PE2 6FL, United Kingdom.

WIAL UK Limited (hereafter, “we”, “our”, “us” or “WIAL UK”) operates various individual global, and country-specific websites. Any and all such individual website(s) owned and operated by WIAL UK, our country-specific websites, our mobile applications, and any portal accessible via Facebook®, Google+®, LinkedIn®, Twitter®, YouTube®, or other social media platforms, whether accessed via computers, mobile devices, or other technologies (collectively referred to as “Channels”) that you are viewing at any time are covered by these terms and conditions.

By navigating and using any of our Channels, you are agreeing these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to legally bound by these terms, then you are not allowed to use any of our Channels and should immediately terminate such usage.

2. Ethics and Professional Standards Policy

WIAL UK is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards. These apply to all our people, regardless of our roles, and to all our offices. WIAL UK people are required to act professionally and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

These ethical and professional standards include:

  • acting with integrity, professionalism and fairness;
  • acting in the best interest of each client, including providing a proper standard of service to our clients;
  • behaving in a way that maintains the trust the public has in the provision of professional services; and
  • maintaining our independence.

We have internal policies intended to help our people comply with these standards and with relevant laws and regulations.

3. Anti-Corruption Statements

WIAL UK has a zero tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption. We are committed to:

  • conducting business in a manner that complies with applicable laws and is consistent with the highest ethical standards including, among other things, standards intended to prevent bribery and corruption; and
  • using our best endeavours to ensure that those who perform services for and on behalf of WIAL UK, including employees, contractors and agents, are aware of and share our commitment to conducting business ethically.

WIAL UK is subject to the UK Bribery Act 2010, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance of Hong Kong (Cap. 201) in respect of its activities throughout the world. The policy is based on an assessment by WIAL UK of the external and internal bribery risks that face us, and reflects fundamental standards that WIAL UK expects those who perform services for us and on our behalf to abide by when acting on our behalf.

WIAL UK will not use third parties or intermediaries to engage on its behalf in unethical practices that would be prohibited under any applicable laws if undertaken by WIAL UK. WIAL UK expects that all third parties and intermediaries that it engages will conduct themselves accordingly when acting on behalf or for the benefit of WIAL UK. WIAL UK is committed to transparency on its ethical standards and anti-bribery initiatives and has established procedures that are described in our Anti-Corruption Policy to encourage employees to report instances or allegations of policy violations.

4. Data Privacy

WIAL UK takes data privacy seriously. We have a global policy that we follow worldwide, which is based on EU data protection principles. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Human Rights

The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights which were unanimously endorsed by the Human Rights Council in 2011 state that all business enterprises have a responsibility to respect human rights. WIAL UK agrees to support and respect internationally recognised human rights.

6. Use of Content

Unless otherwise indicated in the relevant content, and on the condition that you comply with all of your obligations under these Terms, you are authorised to view, copy, print, and distribute (but not modify) the content on our Channels; provided that:

  • such use is for informational, non-commercial purposes only, and
  • any copy of the content that you make must include the copyright notice or other attribution associated with the content.

You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, post or disclose our Channels content without our prior written consent.

You are not authorised to copy or use any software, proprietary processes, or technology embodied or described in our Channels.

7. User Content

Any content, including photos, comments, links and other materials, that you post or other make available on our Channels is referred to as “User Content”. You retain all rights in, and are solely responsible for, the User Content you post in our Channels. You acknowledge and agree that WIAL UK shall own and have the unrestricted right to use, publish, and otherwise exploit any and all User Content in postings, survey responses, and otherwise, and you hereby waive any claims against WIAL UK for any alleged or actual infringements of any rights of privacy or publicity, moral rights, or rights of attribution in connection with WIAL UK’s use and publication of such submissions.

You covenant that you shall not post or otherwise publish on our Channels any materials that:

  • are threatening, libellous, defamatory, or obscene;
  • would constitute, or that encourage conduct that would constitute, a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate law;
  • infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third parties;
  • contain a computer virus or other destructive element;
  • contain advertising; or
  • constitute or contain false or misleading statements.

WIAL UK does not and cannot review all the User Content posted on to our Channels and is not responsible for such information. However, WIAL UK reserves the right to refuse to post and the right to remove any information, in whole or in part, for any reason or for no reason.

8. Links referred to our Channels

Our Channels may contain links to other external websites, mobile applications and social media platforms which are not under our direct control. We have no direct control of such websites, applications and platforms and take no responsibility for content on their pages or of third-party website, applications, platforms or publication. We do no in any way endorse links on these websites, applications and/or platforms and we shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage you may have incurred resulting from the use of the links.

9. Links Third-Party Websites

Any creation and/or operation of links to our Channels without our prior written consent is strictly prohibited unless otherwise our written consent is obtained.

10. Complaint Procedure

WIAL UK is committed to providing our clients with commercially focused professional advice of the highest quality. Any client who is unhappy about the advice and assistance that he/she receives from us, including any concerns about a bill, is entitled to complain. Our complaint procedure can be obtained from our Customer Service team. In addition, there are laws and regulations on this subject in some jurisdictions.

11. Disclaimer

The use of our Channels is on an as-is basis. Under no circumstances shall we be held liable for any loss or damage to any user arising from the use or inability to use our Channels. This includes any content or material available on our Channels.

We cannot guarantee that our Channels will always be available. We reserve the right to not give notice should we make alterations or remove content from our Channels.
